STORY OF DIAMOND BEACH
The Natural Beauty of Diamond Beach
Diamond Beach is located on the eastern part of Nusa Penida Island, close to Atuh Beach and the Tree House.
This beach is surrounded by tall limestone cliffs that create a dramatic and hidden effect, while the beach itself has soft white sand and crystal-clear blue seawater.
Large rock formations shaped like diamonds are the beach's iconic feature and a favorite photo spot for tourists.
The crashing waves and natural pools around add to its appeal, although swimming in the main beach area must be done with great caution due to strong currents and waves.
Access and Adventure to the Beach
The beach used to be difficult to reach, but now there are stairs carved into the limestone cliffs, although some parts are still challenging and steep.
The journey to Diamond Beach requires:
From Bali to Nusa Penida: take a speedboat from Sanur to Toya Pakeh or Banjar Nyuh harbor (30–45 minutes).
From Nusa Penida harbor to Diamond Beach: about 45–60 minutes by motorcycle or rental car.
Descending to the beach takes around 20 minutes via a variety of paths, including some stairs with rope handrails for safety.
